Upcoming Trip to Canterbury & Dover – May 2026
Play & Learn is organizing a two-day, one-night trip in May 2026, open to members and their families. The trip will provide an opportunity to explore two of England’s historic destinations.
🌍 Destinations
Day 1 — Canterbury
Canterbury is a historic city known for its Canterbury Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can walk through medieval streets, see historic buildings, and enjoy the local shops and cafés.
Members are welcome to explore the city in small groups at their own pace. Some suggested visits include: St Augustine’s Abbey, St Martin’s Church, the Old Town with Westgate Towers and Gardens, the River Stour, and the Beaney House of Art and Knowledge.
Day 2 — Dover & Dover Castle
The trip continues to Dover Castle, located on the famous White Cliffs of Dover. The castle offers a view of the coast, medieval halls, ramparts, and underground tunnels used during the Second World War.

Round-trip coach travel from Franqueville to Canterbury and Dover (including the Channel crossing via Eurotunnel Le Shuttle)

Fête de NOËL / 40 ans de Play and Learn
Dear adult students of Play & Learn,
Nous avons le plaisir de vous inviter à notre 'Adults Christmas Party'
qui aura cette année un thème très spécial : 2025 marque le 40e anniversaire de Play & Learn !
Nous avons donc hâte de vous retrouver très nombreux pour cette fête de Noël exceptionnelle !
Cette année, nous avons décidé d'organiser cette fête le samedi en début de soirée, afin que davantage d'entre vous puissent venir.
DATE / HEURE : le samedi 13 décembre, à partir de 18h00
LIEU : Notre grande salle de cours à la Maison des Associations, Franqueville-Saint-Pierre
(nous ouvrirons le mur-rideau pour agrandir la pièce !)

Comme le veut la tradition de P&L, chacun apporte un petit cadeau (valeur < 5 €), emballé, qui sera déposé dans une grande boîte. Chacun piochera ensuite un cadeau pendant la fête.

Ce stage est ouvert aux enfants de la maternelle jusqu’au collège.

Nous avons une proposition d'activité en anglais! If you love Normandy's food, you'll love this!
Profitez d’une activité linguistique et ludique pour pratiquer l’anglais en situation authentique : une visite
tout en anglais pour découvrir le patrimoine gastronomique de Rouen.
La visite comprend un parcours dans le centre historique de la ville, avec dégustations de produits
locaux et un guide anglophone qui nous révélera des anecdotes sur l’alimentation de nos ancêtres,

Voyage à Jersey
Notre voyage annuel a pour destination l’ile de Jersey.
Le départ se ferait de Franqueville-Saint-Pierre en car, vers 6 heures du matin, avant de prendre le bateau à Granville.
Nous arriverions sur Jersey à 10h20 heure locale (heure anglaise).
Nous aurions ensuite un peu plus de 8 heures sur place pour explorer l’île et ses attractions. Jersey, qui est petite et très bien desservie par les bus, se prête parfaitement à une journée d’excursion.
Le retour à FSP est prévu pour environ minuit trente / 1h du matin.
Sur cette île anglo-normande, où la langue principale est l’anglais, plusieurs attractions valent le détour :
• Deux magnifiques châteaux,
• Un hôpital souterrain datant de la Seconde Guerre mondiale,
• De jolies plages,
• Un bus touristique qui fait le tour de l’île…
Le voyage coûterait environ 60 euros par personne (cela comprend le transport en car et en ferry). Les élèves, membres, conjoints, enfants, etc. de Play & Learn sont invités !
