Upcoming Trip to Canterbury & Dover – May 2026
Play & Learn is organizing a two-day, one-night trip in May 2026, open to members and their families. The trip will provide an opportunity to explore two of England’s historic destinations.
🌍 Destinations
Day 1 — Canterbury
Canterbury is a historic city known for its Canterbury Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can walk through medieval streets, see historic buildings, and enjoy the local shops and cafés.
Members are welcome to explore the city in small groups at their own pace. Some suggested visits include: St Augustine’s Abbey, St Martin’s Church, the Old Town with Westgate Towers and Gardens, the River Stour, and the Beaney House of Art and Knowledge.
Day 2 — Dover & Dover Castle
The trip continues to Dover Castle, located on the famous White Cliffs of Dover. The castle offers a view of the coast, medieval halls, ramparts, and underground tunnels used during the Second World War.

Round-trip coach travel from Franqueville to Canterbury and Dover (including the Channel crossing via Eurotunnel Le Shuttle)
One night in a hotel in Canterbury, including breakfast
